That's what the mean girls called me back in the day, and, as a highly imaginative, slightly bossy, Jesus-loving, teachers pet of a nerd, I completely internalized that message & held it in my heart as a mantra of what NOT to be.
I then went on to spend my teen years & 20s trying like hell to be the raddest, baddest, sexiest cool girl on the planet.
But truly- Cool Girl Jo is not half as fun (or HAPPY) as Little Weirdo Jo.
And- thankfully I finally got hip to that fact & have now spent the last decade or so finding my way back to the glorious nerd I used to be. I believe this vlog may be proof enough of that...
