Do you ever feel like the new age/witchy community is largely comprised of a ragtag society of spiritual refugees?
I do.
I love that David Hayward aka The Naked Pastor uses that metaphor to describe those of us who have broken free from the religion we grew up in only to find ourselves facing a whole host of personal challenges as a result.
WE ARE A STRONG BUNCH.
That I know for sure.
And- we're always evolving both in terms of belief & in the ways in which we choose to define ourselves.
I think that's one of my favorite things about us. Our spirituality is fluid, inclusive & open to new insights.
We gravitate toward freedom, and rehabilitating the psychic wounds & paradigms of our past is one of the most powerful steps we can take in that direction.
